ABOUT US

The Spring of Hope is a registered charity with the UK Charity Commission and HMRC. (Reg. No.1193174). As such, its main activities focus around the teaching and training of people for active community involvement in areas designed to enhance better family life, helping people to become good and Law-abiding citizens and the teaching of biblically-based moral values and codes of conduct. Through these, we aim to help people in the community live together in harmony whilst at the same time expressing love, tolerance and mutual respect without the need for any kind of social, religious or economic discrimination. We currently operate primarily in the United Kingdom and India.

In the Church venue, Spring of Hope runs a regular Sunday School for local children where they can learn about some of the moral stories contained in the Bible. It’s objective is to equip children to respect their life and the lives of others around them, and encourage and train them in becoming responsible citizens of the United Kingdom.

The aim is for our teams to travel to the requesting Church and assist them in the initiation of the classes and respective curriculum and to offer further training and assistance to enable local people to carry them forward.

INDIA

India is the largest democracy in the world. The nation of India has one-third of the landmass of the United States but has a four times larger population. The Spring of Hope exists to help alleviate poverty and poverty-related issues within the indigenous population, whilst at the same time, encourages holistic and self-sustaining business initiatives through a combination of educational development, targeted healthcare awareness and bespoke business training. The intention is to provide local people with the practical skills and know-how to enable them to become catalysts of change in their community.

Consequently, our programmes are not simply theory-based; but in order to effect an immediate impact, we also provide graduates with small-scale loans/finance to enable business start-ups that are appropriate to their location and skillset; thus establishing local Hope Communities, which are able to act as a valuable resource for the broken, neglected, downtrodden and the less privileged people in the area.

  • Rehabilitation of orphans, widows, the poor and the needy.
  • Quality Education for all.
  • Equality and equal opportunities for all.
  • Establishing 'Hope Communities' for social and economic transformation.
Community Devoloment

The Spring of Hope is currently involved in various community development activities across India. One of them is an initiative in the state of Uttar Pradesh in northern India among the Karwal people. Due to a range of socio-economic issues, these people are not able to send their children to school; and their men are unable to find work as a result of historically endemic addiction issues and associated problems. Our field workers went to these people and are currently involved in rehabilitation work. To date, we have more than 400 people involved in various programs in a number of ways, some of whom are involved in our children’s education and women’s rehabilitation initiatives. To know more about Community Devolopment

The Spring of Hope also has several initiatives among the slum communities. One of these is currently in operation at the Mayapuri slum in New Delhi. The children here are unable to access a School education as a direct result of their socio-economic context, where both parents and children are forced to sift through piles of rubbish to try and make a living. It is through this project that we are able to educate and hopefully rehabilitate more than 150 children in this notorious slum and help to give them better prospects in life. Training.jpg

For people to stand a more realistic chance of succeeding in their chosen vocation, we feel it is imperative they receive high-quality training. We are currently able to provide this training through our residential Training Centre located in Kerala, India. The Centre has a very experienced and eclectic faculty who have been drawn from a variety of employment and life experience backgrounds. Last year alone, we trained a total of 36 students in a number of disciplines, with our intention being to increase this to 100 over the next year and beyond, that is, as finance and capacity allow to 200 within the foreseeable future.  This is where we need your help. SIRS (Sophia International Residential School)

This is our school level educational centre which aims to develop leaders with a difference, who will be able to make a change in society by providing high level and quality education for all, at an affordable cost. The Lord has blessed us with land in three different locations and we are actively praying for resources to be made available to us which will allow the building programme to move forward. Through the SIRS initiative, we are intending to connect with similar schools on an international basis, as a way of encouraging ideas and practices in order to develop gifted young people to become the future leaders of nations.
